Call to Worship: Liturgy, Music, Preaching, and the Arts

This quarterly journal is published by the Office of Theology and Worship of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in partnership with the Presbyterian Association of Musicians.
The publication subscription is available in both web and print formats as a benefit of your PAM membership.

The annual Lectionary Companion is released every spring and provides worship, art, and music resources based on the Scripture readings in the Revised Common Lectionary, including opening sentences, prayers, congregational song suggestions, piano and organ music, and anthem selections.

Three thematic issues released every quarter in each volume of Call to Worship include articles on liturgy, music, preaching, and the arts, liturgical ideas and resources, book and music reviews, and artwork that explores ritual, liturgy, and theology. Recent issue themes include, “Collaboration in Worship,” “Liturgy in Times of Crisis,” “Shared Space,” “In Life and In Death,” and “Worship and Politics.”
The journal’s website features full weekly liturgies under the Lectionary Companion tab, additional resources to what is provided in the print issues. The website also features a gallery, archives, and a community page, where subscribers can connect with one another.
