Technical Support

There are several options for obtaining technical support. They include:

  1) For Installation Issues, first try following the Installation Instructions below on this page.

  2) Press the F1 key while in the software for the help menu.

  3) Search the FAQ page of this website.

  4) Ask the YahooGroup of software users. Go to YahooGroup

  5) Contact the PAM (Presbyterian Association of Musicians) office at pam@pcusa.org or 1-888-728-7228 xt 5288.

    Installation Instructions  
      

Single Computer Installation:
1. Insert CD into your CD drive and open the CD.
2. From the installation menu, choose the LabOra Worship Installation. The InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation process.
3. Read the license agreement; click Yes to accept.
4. Click the Standard button.
5. Click Next to use the default install directory.
6. Click Next to start copying files.
7. Wait until installation is 100% complete and the Finish button appears. Click Finish.
8. You will now be requested to restart your machine. Click Restart.
9. If you desire to install Capella, open the installation wizard again on the CD. To install Call to Worship (if you have this supplemental CD), insert that installation CD and open its installation wizard.

Multiple Computer Installation (with shared files):
1. Insert CD into your CD drive and open the CD.
2. From the installation menu choose the LabOra Worship Installation. The InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation process.
3. Read the license agreement; click Yes to accept.
4. Click the Custom button.
5. Select the destination folder where the common documents and your databases will be found. (If you do not know the location, contact your system administrator.) Click Next.
6. After choosing the remote drive (see previous step), choose the local LabOra Worship destination folder. (Installing to the destination folder suggested by the program is recommended.) Click Next.
7. Click Next to start copying files.
8. When installation is complete, you will be asked if you want to copy the installation files to the server. Choosing Yes will allow you to install the program to local machines from a specific path on the server.
9. Click Finish.
10. You will now be requested to restart your machine. Click Restart
11. If you desire to install Capella, open the installation wizard again on the CD. To install Call to Worship (if you have this supplemental CD), insert that installation CD and open its installation wizard.


 
  Startup Information  
   

License Number:
Upon initial startup LabOra Worship & Music Planning Software prompts you for a license number. The program can be started 15 times within a 15 day period after installation before a license number is needed. each time you start the program, a message will tell you how many startups and days are left before the trial version expires.
To open an unlicensed “trial” version of LabOra Worship & Music Planning Software, leave the license number box blank and click Start to open the program.

If you have purchased a license, enter the number in the box and click register. The “USA” at the beginning of Your license number is part of the number and needs to be included in the box. Just type the letters and numbers of the license. There is no need to type the spaces or use the tab key to go to the next box as the program will do that automatically for you. Please note that the license number is case sensitive.

Church/Staff Information:
The first time you start LabOra Worship & Music Planning Software you will be prompted to enter information about your church and staff. In the Church Setup boxes, type in the name of your church and click the Add button. Add additional churches if you like. Then click on a church name and click the Next button to begin entering the staff for that church. You must add at least one pastor’s name, and link at least one pastor to a job function to proceed. To add or to edit this information later, simply click the Minister/Staff Information button on the SmartStart menu.

WORDSearch:
With your purchase of LabOra Worship, you also receive the basic WORDSearch Program from iexalt Software and a choice between the NRSV and the NIV as the second version of the Bible. (KJV is the default version furnished by iexalt.) To install your second version of the Bible you will need to contact iexalt at 1-800-888-9898. Tell the customer service person at iexalt that you have purchased LabOra Worship and you are calling to install the Bible version of your choice. There is no charge for this service. You will need to have your WORDSearch CD in the CD-ROM drive and a 3.5" floppy disk handy in order to make a backup file for unlocking your second version.

WORDSearch has additional electronic resources that you can purchase separately and install on your computer. To view these resources, install the WORDSearch Primary CD and run the sampler program. This will give you limited access to most of the available resources. Please understand that the costs for these resources are separate from your purchase of LabOra Worship.

The document available on this webpage is to help you get up and running quicker and to offer a few helpful additions to the on-screen version.
