Congregation's Expectations:    St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Renton, Washington, is seeking a Music Coordinator who views musical leadership as a holy pastoral calling. While current responsibility includes only one adult choir, we envision that the program will grow, and eventually the candidate may be responsible for and direct a music program of voice and instrument inclusive of all ages, young children through adult. Because the congregation is the real and greatest choir, enhancement of congregational song is the larger goal of this ministry. We seek a candidate committed to working closely with a pastor who cares deeply about worship as the space for the primary formation of the people of God, so we look for one who will provide the kind of balanced, sensitive leadership that facilitates the flow of worship, aiming toward a worship service that is like a seamless tapestry from beginning to end, with each aspect of the service complementing the proclamation of the Gospel through Word and Sacrament.
