Congregation's Expectations: Must be well versed in current contemporary Chrisitan music and accomplished vocalist and musician (preferably a guitarist), be comfortable with public speaking and leading prayer and have a passion for worshiping Jesus.
Duties - Under the direction of the Pastor, plan and direct all areas of music for the contempory service, meet regularly with the Worship Committee and Worship Shepherd Elders to develop and maintain the music ministry. Provide information for weekly bulletin and newsletter. Recruit new members for the Praise Team and conduct try-outs. Supervise members of the Praise Team. Enter new songs into the computer. Maintain the contemporary music library, equipment and supplies. Create and distribute practice CD's. Select music for Sunday services and notify team members early in the week to allow practice time. Provide replacement musicians, vocalist and volunteers when required. Submit budget requirements for the annual budget.
Additional Comments: Personal Qualifications - Must have a firm Christian commitment and currently be active in a Christian congregation. Must possess emotional maturity and objectivity and be sensitive to individual differences, background and spiritual needs. Must possess an understanding and practice of confidentiality.
