that this position will be expected to direct/accompany:
he incumbent of this position will serve as organist for a 9:00 am traditional worship service, pianist for an 11:00 am blended worship service, and accompanist for a Thursday night adult choir rehearsal. The Assistant Music Director may also serve as substitute director for the Adult Choir in the Director of Music’s absence, not to exceed four times per year. Possible additional area of responsibility is to direct the children’s music ministry, or to develop a youth or handbell music ministry.

Congregation's Expectations: Community Presbyterian Church (CPC) has been in existence for over 100 years. It is an 800-member PCUSA congregation and employs a staff of ten. There are two weekly worship services, one traditional and one blended. It has a strong and growing music program that consists of a 62-member adult choir that leads music at both services; a children’s choir that is part of a comprehensive weekly ministry called PAWS- Playtime and Worship Skills- for children grades K-5; and a youth music program that is part of a larger youth ministry for grades 6-12.
